As he entered the elevator and went up to the 2nd floor, Maddison pulled up on her gold chain, revealing a circular locket.

CHAPTER 2:
THE NEW MEDIUM
As the elevator suddenly stops moving, the grey doors open to the second floor.
The lights flicker as if a generator almost gave out.
In the hallway are pale, light-blue corpses with crystals growing on them.
The crystals undulate rhythmatically, as if all of them are synced together.
The horrible sight of blue and red liquids on the floor and walls accompanied by the rotting, liquified corpses sends shivers down your spine.
Is this what she was talking about when the wraiths turned everyone into "blue cellouse soup"?
You advance through the hallways, trying not to look at the bodies, occasionally giving a glance or two.
CD this is horrible...
they really seem ruthless in their attacks..
i need to keep my guard up at all times
oh, right i forgot about this
You pull out the modified glock, along with a magazine filled with crystals.
You insert the magazine into it, pulling back the slider to reload the glock.
You start to feel more safer with the loaded gun in your hands.
this is my first time handling a gun...
wait... how do i know how to use guns?
You stop to think about how and why you have knowledge on gun handling, along with why the gun feels familiar.
CD was i some sort of soldier before?
maybe a veteran?
or maybe something else?
how do i know all of these things?
i just woke up for the first time in a year and yet i still kno
Before you could think any longer, a sound rings out from one of the rooms.
A rhythmatic, droning noise slowly gets closer to you.
Out of pure shock and instinct, you raise up your gun, with your index finger poised on pulling the trigger.
For some reason, you feel like this is the proper way to hold it when using it.
You have all your attention focused on the general direction of where the noise is coming from.
Suddenly, a pale, translucent, light-blue figure with eyes everywhere on its chest and head materializes before you.
All of its eyes are closed, but it knows you are here with it.
CD ah- to hell with it im not gonna die here
You pull the trigger three times on the figure.
With a pained roar, the figure rushes towards you as its wounds become holes in itself.
You close your eyes and look towards your right, not looking at the figure out of fear.
You pull the trigger again, aiming the gun at its head.
Shortly after, the roaring stops as the figure falls to the floor.
You open your eyes and look at the dead figure.
CD i think its dead now...
thats probably one of the wraiths that maddie was talking about
though i feel like i should've felt some recoil from using it one-handed
maybe the past self's body was used to it?
well atleast its good to know i can use two weapons at once now
You quickly pull out one of the "Shredders" from your belt, gripping your hand around its handle.
Its blade is serrated, and the edge gives off a light-blue glow.
Its powered by a crystal, you think.
You pull the handle trigger and as you do, the blade suddenly spins, making a motorized humming noise from within.
It seems like it can probably deal some serious damage if a target were to be in its range...
You then remember you also have the assault and sniper rifles on your backpack.
But you decide to save the other weapons for more serious fighting purposes.
You go walk through the hallways once more, stepping into a room.
The lights are off, with a single lamp lighting the dark room.
You turn on the room's lights, revealing that its a patient's room.
The TV on the wall is still playing the show: "Family Guy", but there is no one in the bed. Not even a trace of someone.
You look towards the table next to the bed.
There is a potted bouqet of flowers with a card next to it, with its title saying: "Get Well Soon!", along with a picture of a woman.
You wonder if someone actually used to be in here, and what type of ailment and/or injuries they had.
You rummage through the cabinets and drawers to find some alcohol supplies, aid kits, injection capsules, and food & water.
You fill your backpack with said supplies.
CD im not even sure if theres anything left in these rooms, other than this stuff...
i feel like theres nothing left here to be gathered for the trip, so ill go back
You decide to go back to the elevator, and down to the lobby floor.
You once again step inside the elevator again, pushing on the lobby floor button.
As the doors close, the elevator whirrs and moves once again.
But, as you wait in the elevator, you suddenly start to feel extremely hazy...
You stumble and struggle to stand yourself up, but you can't.
As your body collapses, your eyelids become heavy, and close.
The world around you fades away, only leaving you and the moving floor.
...
A faint memory plays in your head as you are unconscious.
You, and someone else, sitting on top of a ledge of a cliff.
"Its really beautiful up here, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is..."
"You... doing okay dude?"
"No, not really..."
"Hey, look at me. Your not gonna get all depressed while we have fun!"
"Listen, if you have something you want to talk about, you can tell me now."
"..."
"Alright..."
"Its just that..."
"Well..."
"Your... seriously not thinking about that again, are you?"
"..."
"Jesus, man..."
"Listen, you can't keep sulking in the past every day like this."
"I know, the war was a heavy toll on our mental state but its over now."
"The longer you keep doing this, the worse you will become mentally."
"I swear, man... You gotta stop."
"You have to learn on how to forget and live on."

In a cold sweat, you wake up.
As you open your eyes, you see blueberry and maddison are surrounded around you."
Maddison Jesus... You had us scared for a minute there!
What the hell happened to you dude?!
You try to remember the dream you just had, but you are seemingly unable to.

As she listens to you, she seemingly nods her head and strokes her chin a bit.
Maddison I.. see.
Well, did you atleast find some stuff before going out cold?

though i didnt really see anything else in there, so i just left
heres the stuff i got
You open your bag, filled with medical supplies and food, and present it to maddie.
Maddison Alright, good.
We should all have supplies of our own now, along with the other supplies in the RV.
CD rv?
Maddison Yeah, since it would be a very long trip across the world, I decided to build an RV.
It should provide us with all of the basic home accomadations.
Like a bathroom, bedrooms, a kitchen, and a sort of "living room" inside it.
Along with it's own shield so that we don't get ambushed by wraiths.
I'm quite proud of it honestly, but not as proud as creating my little crazy cyborg over here.
BlueBerry waves at you and maddison in front of the RV outside.

you created her?
Maddison Well, yeah I did.
It took about 9 full months until she was finally born into the world.
Basically, BlueBerry, or as I like to call her, "BB", is a sort of frankenstein cyborg.
And as you could guess as to why shes blue, her parts were indeed harvested from corpses of wraith victims.
It was such a pain in the ass to do, especially with the occasional wraith trying to attack me every now and then, and even sometimes turning my harvested item into liquid.
And for her consciousness, it was genuinely a stroke of pure leprachaun luck that I maanged to find a non-damaged human brain.
In some ways, she is kind of like my "daughter", if that makes sense.
Not to mention I treat and view her like so.
And even making her weapons were also tedious.
Like, making an extendable machine gun with its own ammo repository all in the right arm that can be controlled via brain impulses was hell.
Not to mention the extendable flamethrower and gas tank all in her left shoulder as well..
Do you know how many attempts and tests I did just to create mechanical weapons that is synchronized with human biology and chemistry?
And if someone like me even had trouble doing it, then good fuckin' luck to the other so-called "scientists" and "engineers" that could've attempted it.
Anyways, with that out of the way we should probably get going.
You ready to start our little journey around whats left of the world?
You think for a moment, taking in all of the surrounding information.
You had only just woke up minutes ago, with no information about who you are, what is happening, and what is going to happen.
All the overwhelming amounts of information is making you feel dizzy as you try to process it all.
But, with a possible adventure on the orange and red horizons and skies across the entire world, who could say no to that?
Along with two other people that you don't even know, it could be fun.
With a heavy exhale, you say...

Maddison Alright then! Thats the spirit I was looking for from you!
Now, help me with packing these briefcases in, will ya?
With rejuvinated spirits, you help maddison putting in everyone's supplies and briefcases into the RV, preparing for the exciting journey ahead of you.
You can't help but smile at the smoggy, but beautiful orange skies above as you pack supplies in.
Despite having no memory of a past life at all, you think maybe this journey could possibly bring those old memories back.
Maddison Alright, that should be everything.
Are you all ready to go?

Maddison Alright, lets go then!
As you all board the RV outside of the urgent care, you find that it is way bigger than how it looks outside.
The metallic and wooden floors tip and tap as you walk on it.
Taking in the entire inside of it, you find that there is a sofa in the middle of the RV, with a TV and media player at the opposite wall.
And past that is a kitchen with full cabinets and drawers, filled with fine china and silverware all around, along with a electric stovetop with a vent.
You look further into the back of the RV, finding three bedrooms and one guest bedroom, all with their own closets, drawers, bathrooms, and TV + media players.
It seems impossible on how maddison even managed to fit all of this in a RV, but its there, somehow defying your mind's laws of physics.
And all the way in the back, is all of the medical supplies and emergency kits, along with a fire axe and extinguisher.
The neatly organized rooms with their also-organized supplies and items, along with all of the decor on the walls and floor is just so exquisite.
All of this is just amazing, all of it.
And of course, in the front is the passenger and driver seats, with extra cushoning and heating! What a luxury!
Maddison You gonna take a seat or are you just gonna keep gawkin' at my RV?
CD ah- right right sorry
Broken out of your trance, you sit next to BlueBerry in the front and buckle yourself in.
All of the passenger seats are arranged with 2 seats at the left and right, with space to walk around in the middle like a bus.
And each individual seat has a armrest at the right of the seat dividing them each, along with a meal tray at the left of the seat. The armrest also has buttons to activate heating and cooling.
Not to mention all of the seats are covered in a layer of fur-like cushioning, along with them having a color spectrum, the ones in the front are white-colored, the ones in the middle are grey-colored, and the ones in the back are black-colored.
You start to relax in the very comfortable seat as you sink into it.
These feel like first-class airplane seats, despite them looking like ordinary RV seats with extra cushioning.
BlueBerry woooaa.. this feels really comfy maddie!!

And with comedic timing, BlueBerry instantly falls asleep before she could finish her sentence.
And as you relax, a chime sound plays on the overhead speakers as you see Maddison pull out a microphone from the side.
Maddison Good morning ladies and gents, and welcome to the Mobile House Vehicle, also known as the "Pandora Van". Before we embark on Day 1 of our grand adventure around the world, please take your seats and make sure to put away the meal trays on the left hand side of your seat. As always, smoking and vaping is not allowed while inside of the vehicle cabin, and if you do have any type of alcohol with you, please do drink responsibly.
As we prepare for our departure from the Providence Urgent Care, our driver will go around to check and see if all seatbelts are operational and function correctly, along with making sure that the shield around the vehicle works.
As Maddison says that, she gets up from her seat and makes sure that every seatbelt works correctly, going through every seat in the front and tugging on the yellow tag when inserting the belt into the buckle, afterwards getting the belt out of the buckle when confirming that it works.
She then goes into the back of the bus and into the storage room, making sure that the shield is on and functioning properly.
After confirming that everything works as it should, she goes back into the driver seat, buckles herself in, and gets back on the speaker.
Maddison Green light for depature has been confirmed.
As she says that, the engine suddenly starts up, humming quietly as the RV starts to take off.
The vehicle starts moving out of the driveway of the urgent care, moving around the empty cars.
Maddison Celebrating the one year comeback of CD, we will embark on an adventure all around the world, making sure to make new memories and experiences along the way.
And with that, I am proud to officially announce Day 1 of our journey around the world has begun.
Our next stop will be somewhere at Anaheim, which is past the City of Adelanto.
Music will be playing on the overhead speakers as we go to our next destination.
Gravity and Force stabilizers going on.
As soon as she says that, a sudden wave of force goes throughout the bus, counteracting the force of the travel.
You are now able to walk around the RV as you please, or stay in your seat. Your choice!

The location indicator overhead turns from "none" to "Anaheim".
And with that, you start to relax and wonder once more.
What more surprises could this world possibly have to offer?
Well, there is only one way to find out.
Wait and see what happens next.
As you relax, you close your eyes and go to sleep.
This will be one hell of a journey across the world, and it will be fun all along the way.
