The Day The Gods Awoke

You sleep soundly in your seat, relaxing your muscules against the soft and comfortable leather.

Hearing nothing, seeing nothing, feeling nothing, and smelling nor tasting nothing.

You are entirely asleep.

But just then, something contrasts with the darkness.

Multiple sparkling stars begin to flicker and glow across the area.

Various Nebulas start to float and wick like the fire of a candle admist the small speckles of light.

You wonder if you are in a dream right now.

You attempt to look at your hands.

You see your hands as you contort and shift them.

You pinch yourself in an attempt to wake up, but nothing else happens except for the pain registering in your body.

CD what the..?

You float around in the seemingly empty space, swimming through the stars and nebulas.

You fear if you somehow ended up somewhere else again.

But before you could dwell on that any further, a voice calls out to you.

??? Hello? Can you hear me?

Are we finally connected my child?

It speaks in a language you are unable to understand, but yet you feel like you are familiar with the language.

Just what is happening?

??? Are you there?

Please say something, anything if you can hear me!

You try to communicate with whatever is trying to speak to you.

The voice then booms out once more into the seemingly-endless space.

??? Oh.. Oh!

How silly of me.. I forgot you can't understand my language!

Here, let me bestow upon you the ability to know my language!

You then feel a jolt of overwhelming energy surge all throughout your entire body.

You look at your hands once more, seeing faint cyan traces of wisp-like energy float and disperse throughout your body.

Just then, the same strange voice before begins to have clarity, forming recognizeable words.

They have a rather ethereal-like feminine voice, sounding more friendly than cosmic.

??? You are welcome, my child!

Do you truly not recognize me..?

CD well i can't really see you wherever you are so

but you do feel familiar for some reason

where exactly do we start with this?

The Visitor Lets start somewhere simple, something that won't need 100% of your mind's concentration and doesn't take up much energy.

I shall teach you the ability to Destabilize.

It is quite hard to explain it to something that has never really done anything like it before, but I'll try either way.

Its like.. using your own arm to "think".

I know it sounds quite confusing, but just trust me on this...

I will also create an "apple" for you to test on.

And as sudden as it was, an apple materialized right infront of you.

The Visitor Now, put your arm out.

You raise your arm at the direction of the apple.

The Visitor Open your hand so that your palm can be seen,

You open up your hand, making it as The Visitor instructed it to be like.

The Visitor Close your eyes,

And try to gently "push out" your energy through your arm, and out your palm.

You close your eyes.

You then try to strain or eject something out of your arm.

Nothing happens.

The Visitor No no, you are trying to force it out my child.

You need to just relax your arm.

Do not try to force it - let it come through naturally.

Try to think of it as going with the flow of running water.

You then feel something massaging your arm and hand.

You can't see what is massaging your arm, but you start to feel more relaxed as it continues to do so.

Before you knew it, something was coming out your palm.

A bright, small cyan octahedron-shaped crystal slowly floated towards the apple, then burst into small specks and shards of glowing cyan light, fading away.

The apple started to become blurry and distorted, rippling unnaturally as it slowly floated away from the crystals impact.

okay, that was cool

but what did it even do to the apple?

The Visitor Hence the name, it basically "destabilizes" the molecular structure of whatever you used the ability on.

Like a lifeform, object, or even an area of something!

I am not exactly sure myself of what you can do with it, but I think it makes something like a metal wall be as fragile as a piece of paper!

I am very sure you could possibly use it for either combat or as a tool.

Though unfortunately, this is where we part ways for now my child.

Before you could register anything else, a white blinding light fills your vision.

You are opening your eyes to the van's internal lighting.

CD what the hell was that?

You try to remember the strange dream - or whatever that encounter was, - but for some reason, you can't seem to grasp it in your memories, except for the part where you learned some strange new skill.

Just then, a familiar voice fills your head.

She then continues to look outside of the window beside her, staring at the various buildings and the broken, orange sky.

You get up from your seat, looking forward to exploring the RV thoroughly.

You go through the walkway, and into the middle part of the RV.

A full-package kitchen, bathroom, and of course, the physics-breaking bedrooms.

You then notice that the bedroom doors have labels on them.

And on one of them was labelled your name. CD.

You suspect that this is your bedroom, and walk inside.

As you do, the wooden boards beneath you tap and clack.

You look inside the closet and find only clothing and some minor supplies on the upper shelf.

You then turn your attention to the bed.

A king-sized bed with comfortable pillows and a warm blanket.

Along with a medium-sized flatscreen mounted on the wall to watch media.

CD this is actually really nice

a little cramped yeah sure but its really solid for a RV bedroom

not to mention it has a media player and wall-mounted tv
