As you wake up, you notice you are in a bed. Not just any bed, but a hospital bed. You then notice you are connected to several machines. IV Drips, Heart Rate Monitors, and a TV in the back of the room.
You look down at your hands. Your arms. Your entire body. You feel like you have been sleeping forever but you have been always awake.
You put your hands on your face. It feels familiar and yet it feels different.
You then begin to think.
"Where am I?" "Why am I here?" "How am I here?"
And then, suddenly, a big question hits your mind.

You suddenly hear a fast-paced metallic stomp throughout the hallway.
Something is coming, and fast.

Suddenly, the door flings open as a blue-toned person rushes into the room.
BlueBerry MADDIE! MADDIEE!! IS HE FINALLY AWAKE???
You notice that the person has a emblem of a blueberry on their chest.
As the person quakes with excitement, you start to have more questions.
Maddison Yep. He's finally awake after 1-
They squeal in happiness and hug you in a blink of an eye.
You are unsure if this means anything good or bad but, you know they are definitely happy to see you.

Come on, lets get you into some fresh, new clothes.

As you lift yourself up and get into some more light, you notice that you have bandages on both your wrists and knuckles.
You decide to ask maddison some other questions as she detaches the machines and drips from you.
CD hey uh maddison?
Maddison Yes?
CD where.. are we?
Maddison Oh. Right.
Ahem, we are currently in what used to be the providence st. mary medical center in apple valley, california.
You were sent here after your operation had concluded.
The current date is May 12th, 2077.
Its also the date that we have our birthdays on.
So, happy birthday to me and you, bud.
I bet your wondering how and why the world we now live in has gone to complete shit.
Well, it all started with the Daybreak Incident.

As soon as your operation was a success, something happened.
We didn't know it at the time but, we had distrubed something. Something far beyond our perspective of reality.
So that thing sent down smaller and weaker versions of itself to..
Kill everything.
It didn't matter what you were. Human, Animal, even Plant.
If you were alive, these things could sense you and immediately turn you into blue celluose soup.
I have no idea what happened to the people or things after they were liquified.
Maybe they got into some afterlife, Maybe they got sent into another universe,
Or maybe there is nothing for us after death and its all just void.
Who knows, really?
And the things that came down...
Some people prefer to call them "Angels", some people prefer to call them "Demons", I personally like to call them "Wraiths".
They have this almost ghost-like translucent light blue skin. The type that you could see through like a thin hoodie.
They have small, curled up horns that kinda resemble an octopus.
And their many eyes. Why do they have so much eyes? I don't know.
They even have eyes on their hands. Thats how "many" it gets.
And their acid literally turns any organic matter into blue soup, or if you were lucky enough, just turns the entire organelle or organism blue with minimal or no damage.
Though, I still feel like the original creator of these Wraiths still lurks.
That they know that we are still here, surviving.
Anyways, thats enough from me for now.
As she detaches the final machine, she goes into the nearby closet and brings out some clothing.
Maddison I'm gonna give you some of the clothes my brother used to wear.
She pulls out a heavy-looking, black trench coat with various chest pockets, along with a belt and grey jeans. The belt looks like its used primarily for combat, as seen by the ammo slots and the gun being holstered.
You quickly realize that the gun doesn't seem to have bullets in them, but rather cyan, glowing, pulsating crystals.

Maddison Oh, this?
Its a little byproduct that the wraiths acid make.
When their acid is no longer of use, they dry out and basically "grow" into the weird, pulsing crystal you see here.
Me and BlueBerry over here quickly learned that they are extremely lethal to the wraiths and can be used as ammo without shattering.
Kind of like a "get a taste of your own medicine" thing.
Its kinda funny, isn't it?

Maddison Not only that, we learned that we can use the crystals to power things such as lights.
As they have something similar to a human brain, like neurons and whatnot.
Also, their electricity output is outstanding.
These being able to outperform a standard power generator at the size of a quarter is just amazing, honestly.
And, we have recently learned that we can also use these to create shields from the wraiths.
They are normally intangible until they strike, being able to pass through anything.
But the shield blocks them from entering the space within, intangible or not.
Thats how we were able to create an entire forest in the ocean so that we can atleast purify and make more air.
She points towards the window facing the beach.
As you get up and look outside, you see a giant square of green surrounded by a blue, spherical orb in the distance.
Maddison Pretty amazing, hmm?

though one thing bugs me
if this "creator" does exist, why did it target us exactly when i was done with my "operation"?
Maddison Oh, who knows?
Maybe it was afraid of something, maybe it was angered about something, or maybe it just didn't want you to have the operation be a success.
Either way, we have a lot to talk about and a lot to show you.
Now, are you gonna put the clothes on or what?

You take the clothes from maddison's arms, and go into the nearby restroom.
As you do, your curiosity overtakes you, making you inspect the gun and magazines.
You take one crystal out of the mag, feeling and looking at it.
It undulates and pulses unnaturally and rhythmically.
For some reason, you feel compelled to put the crystal next to your heart.
Its your first time handling man-made otherworldly matrerials but it couldn't hurt to just put it next to your heart, right?
As you do, the crystal suddenly goes through your chest, and into your heart.

You then suddenly become instantly rejuvinated, feeling more powerful and awake.
You start to question what just happened.
The crystal suddenly comes back out, but its glow and color is gone and grey.
Its no longer pulsing.
The crystal also feels more brittle and fragile, like fractured glass.

As you question, your train of thought stops as maddison bangs on the door.
Maddison Hey dude, you done yet?
Me and Blue are waiting for you.

You decide to put the dead crystal in one of the trench coats pockets.
As you put on your clothes, you feel a sense of deja vu.
Like you've done this before.
But you decide to ignore the feeling and carry on.
As you put on the coat and belt, you suddenly feel more stronger.
Like you are a one-man army with unyielding bravery.
You look at yourself in the mirror.
The top of your head is bandaged up.
But you don't care as you look and admire your style.
You look awesome.
You gather your hospital clothes and leave the restroom.

Maddison Heh, hell yeah dude.
You look amazing.

Either way you need some more weaponry than that sidearm in your belt.
She then pulls out an assault rifle, sniper rifle, and two chainsaw-sword things?
You don't know how else to describe the melee weapons other than them looking like one-handed chainsaws.

As you grab all of the weapons, you feel a sense of strength, courage, and hope.
You wonder what kind of fun and damage you will be able to have and make with these.
Maddison There should also be space for atleast two guns on the back of your coat, and space for two knives or the "shredders" -- as I like to call them, -- on your belt.
Before we go, you will need to get some stuff before we can start exploring.
There should be supplies and food in this building, so you can go explore it.

You put on the weapons on your back and belt, and start to trek the building in search of food and supplies for the trip.
As you walk into an elevator, you start to wonder what more surprises this world can offer.
What more experiences this world can offer.
What more feelings this world can offer.
You become nervous, but excited at the thought.
Who knows what will happen next?
You press the 2nd floor button on the elevator interface and the doors close.
